 İstanbul Chamber of Industry, within its institutional duties and responsibilities defined in related law and legislation, aims at fulfilling its customers' needs completely, correctly and timely, while considering the public interest and its members' demands, in a fair and trustworthy manner.
As being one of the major national and international representatives of Turkish Private Sector, İstanbul Chamber of Industry claims to sustain its reason for institutional existence and its role of representing the private sector in the changing world conjuncture. To this ultimate goal, İstanbul Chamber of Industry commits to change the nature of its products and organizational structure into a "fit for purpose", dynamic and proactive nature.
İstanbul Chamber of Industry declares that this institutional commitment, with the co-operation of its employees and members, will be set and maintained by
- re-evaluating its mission and policies systematically in accordance with the idea of continual improvement
- setting new targets, developing related action plans and implementing these plans by allocating necessary resources,

OUR VISION
To make efforts to ensure the integration of the principles and policies associated with the protection of the environment with the decision-making processes of all other activities and to contribute on behalf of the industrial sector to the creation of a production environment that would foster sustainable development in harmony with the environment.
OUR MISSION
To make efforts to ensure more efficient use of energy and raw materials; the minimization of waste; the recycling and reuse to the extent possible of waste materials the generation of which cannot be avoided, and their appropriate disposal; orientation toward environment-friendly production and products for the preservation of the ecological balance.
OUR ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
- To make efforts at all levels to ensure a sustainable growth and development in harmony with the environment and the sustainable use of energy and natural resources,
- To make constant efforts to instill and raise an awareness of the environment in our members; to support training, research, and development work in various environmental fields,
- To make efforts for the development of Turkish Environmental Legislation in accordance with international norms and standards; to contribute to EU-Turkey harmonization work on Environmental Legislation; to work to prevent unfair competition arising from environmental investments and environmental costs,
- To make efforts for the advancement and implementation of environment-friendly clean technologies, voluntary environment management systems, and environmental standards; to encourage small-to-medium-size industrial enterprises to use clean technologies and to orient themselves toward environment-friendly production and products; to support research and development work conducted in these fields,
- To make efforts for the planned development of the İstanbul Metropolitan area and the sustainable, prudent use of its natural resources; to coordinate with the relevant central and local government agencies and non-governmental organizations regarding the matter.
